The artist has a minimalist and abstract aesthetic vision. She emphasises material integrity and proportions over forms. Semeraro took her inspiration from the artists of the „Arte Povera“ movement. She combines raw metals and materials with no intrinsic value, such as iron and burnt wood, with precious metals like fine gold and silver to obtain a disarming effect. Iron and burnt wood are chosen to challenge the economic value of the precious metal. Aesthetic is reduced to the simplest geometric forms so to further emphasise the material aspect of the object.
